Welcome to the virtual Biennial Infectious Disease Conference (BIDCon) 2021 organized by the Infectious Disease Society of Kenya (IDSK) in collaboration with Heart and Life Conferences. BIDCon 2021 is a multi-platform conference that seeks to provide updates and current concepts on infectious diseases (ID) to healthcare workers involved in patient care. In addition to taking a close look SARS-CoV-2, we will attend to the full spectrum of infectious diseases in Eastern Africa, and pay attention to the ever-increasing scourge of multi-drug resistant bacteria, re-emerging and emerging infectious diseases, and cover developments around the prevention and management of endemic diseases.
The Infectious Diseases Society of Kenya (IDSK) was established in 2015 as a nationwide association of medical professionals and scientists specializing in the field of infectious diseases. The goal of the society is to improve the health of the Kenyan population by promoting excellence in patient care, capacity building, and research.
